TMJ treatment targets the muscles surrounding the temporomandibular joint to alleviate pain and tension by releasing tightness in the upper back, shoulders, collarbone, chest, and neck. This helps to relax the areas connected to the temporomandibular joint, ultimately finishing with a focus on the jaw muscles.

There are two primary techniques used in TMJ massage, and your therapist will guide you through each of them.
